Students will learn a complete picture of the testing process, how it fits into the software development life cycle, how to properly scope and prioritize testing activities, and which techniques to use for optimal results. This program begins with a deep-dive into the Universal Testing Method and follows with a close look at testing phases, testing approaches, non-functional testing, and testing for different platforms. This program will also cover the automation testing and behavior-driven development.
This program also covers the systems development life cycle (SDLC) with an emphasis on multiple implementation options (such as Waterfall or Agile) available. Knowing which tool or technique to use in any particular situation is the key to success. This program will give you the knowledge to choose between these methods, tools, and artifacts so that you can quickly and efficiently take your SDLC project from concept to working implementation.
In this program, you will learn how to completely plan your test activities including walk through the test planning process, and identify all the inputs you will need and the things you should produce, plan for test case creation, defect tracking, status monitoring, and progress reporting.
In-class exercises: reinforce the concepts and practice, identify and examine problems, modeling the test space, establishing scope and application coverage, identifying, writing test procedures, and more.
